Rambutan is a tropical fruit native to tropical climates. Since it is rarely seen in Japan, most people have probably thought, “I’ve heard the name, but I’ve never seen the real fruit,” or “I’ve seen photos, but I’ve never tasted it.”

Rambutan is in season from spring to summer in Japan’s seasonal terms (yes, even tropical climates have harvest seasons!), and during this time, bees bring large amounts of honey back to their hives.
